A bowl of Stephens Yau’s Pho is extraordinary comforting and now you can find it in two places within Center City Philadelphia . Both restaurants Pho Mi Rittenhouse and Pho Mi Square on Square have earned the right to be one of the “Best” to serve Pho in the City of Philadelphia.

Stephen Yau’s special Pho secret broth has brought the meaning of Pho to new heights. Love and slow methodical simmering for hours has elevated his Pho. Fresh ingredients dance amongst the different versions of Pho that are offered.

Pho Mi Rittenhouse at 106 S 20th Street in Philadelphia opened over a year ago

to little to no fanfare. Stephen Yau drove his vision, which was to be the best. Through his hard work and determination the restaurant thrived . His customers reviewed his Pho and found it hard to beat. Flocking to this small takeout restaurant ( five eat-in stools) the neighborhood embraced Pho Mi Rittenhouse. Since his opening, his following started to enjoy additions to the menu.

Vietnamese Banh Mi (Hoagie) and fresh tacos (gluten free) became a staple after popular requests from Stephen’s Pho Mi fans and long time customers. Stephen took on an operating partner, which allowed him to create Pho Mi and Beyond.

Pho Mi and Beyond has folded in Square on Squares Chinese menu and developed a sit down version of Pho Mi Rittenhouse. With much thought and his new hands on approach , the next step moved from a dream to reality.

Customers will be able to enjoy some weekly happenings over the next several months utilizing the 1st floor restaurant and the private second floor.

The second floor dining room is reserved for private parties. Special menus are created for individual events and tastings.
